Investigating the essential roles of Ubiquitin-like molecules and the Ubiquitin Proteasome System

Research Project 1.
Probe molecules and assay reagents to study action in Ub and UBL systems and role of DUBs.

Objectives

We have recently developed technology to study the role of ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like molecules in multiple cellular processes. These reagents will be, as part of collaborations, optimized for the intended research purposes, including, but not necessarily being limited to: Design and development of biochemical assay reagents; Synthesis of reagents/immunogens for the generation of conjugate specific antibodies; Optimization of assays and high-throughput screen (HTS) assays; Identification of protease inhibitors from the established DUB targeted sets.
